Pondy Govt to implement pay panel recommendations
Puducherry, Oct 22 (UNI) The Puducherry Administration would implement the Sixth Pay Commission recommendations to those left out, from next month, Chief Minister V Vaithilingam said here today.
Talking to newspersons here this evening, Mr Vaithilingam said the Sahoo Commission, constituted to look into the issue of implementing the commission's recommendations, had submitted it's report today and the administration needed another Rs 57 crore to implement it from next month.
The Centre had provided Rs 150 crore as an interim measure to implement the commission's recommendations. A sum of Rs 500 crore would be required to implement the same.
Mr vaithilingam also said the administration received Rs five crore from the Centre today towards tsunami rehabilitation fund.
