Mega Lok Adalat to be held from December 20 in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, Oct 22 (UNI) A two-day Mega Lok Adalat will be held here from December 20.

The Mega Lok Adalat, which would be conducted by the State Legal Services Authorities, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh Union Territory, would be inaugurated by Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan.

A meeting was held in this regard here today which was chaired by Chandigarh Administrator's Adviser Pradip Mehra.

Mr Mehra directed all departments to identify cases pending in various courts which can be disposed at the Mega Lok Adalat.

The Adviser emphasised upon the involvement of residents welfare associations, non government organisations, federations, councillors, 'panches' and 'sarpanches' to make the event successful.
