KCP claims responsibility for Imphal blast
Imphal, Oct 22 (UNI) The Kangleipak Communisty Party (KCP-MC) today claimed responsibility for last night's blast in which 18 people were killed and 35 injured.
KCP-MC's military council secretary Lalheiba Meitei today said in a statement that the attack was carried out as the people were indulging in gambling last night.
He had warned all not to indulge in gambling.
Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil, Manipur Governor Gurbhachan Jagat, Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh and others had severely condemned the blasts.
The Prime Minister announced Rs one lakh for the deceased and Rs 50,000 for those injured.
