JNTU Kakinada to start M Pharm courses

Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, Oct 22 (UNI) The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada, is planning to start two M Pharm courses in collaboration with the NTR University of Health Sciences.

Announcing this at the meeting of Principals of affiliated colleges of JNTU held here on 'Strategic Planning', JNTU Vice-Chancellor Allam Apparao said the details were being worked out in this regard.

He said they were looking forward for some more such initiatives and planning for strategic alliances with the best institutions in the world.

''Advanced Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Sciences Director S B Rao has already initiated the process of alliance with us.

''Our plans are to develop the JNTU Kakinada into a world class institution of learning and research,'' he added.

He asked the staff of the University and the affiliated colleges to make concentrated efforts with a vision to make JNTU as a great university.

Raghu D Korrapati and Christopher J Kaphen, two consultants from United States, who attended as the resource persons, gave specific plans of action for the JNTU and its affiliated colleges for shaping themselves as the centres of learning of excellence.
