Earthquake of moderate intensity hits HP

Shimla, Oct 22 (UNI) An earthquake of moderate intensity hit some parts of Himachal Pradesh last night.

According to Kangra seismological officer RM Sharma, the epicentre of the earthquake was at Kullu and it was also felt in many parts of Mandi and Shimla district at 2039 hrs last night.

The intensity of the quake was 4.5 on Richter Scale and it lasted for four seconds.

Some of the houses in Gohor subdivision of Mandi district have developed cracks.

However, there were no reports of any casuality.
