DPCC president congratulates PM for Chandrayaan launch

New Delhi, Oct 22 (UNI) Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Jai Prakash Agarwal today hailed India's successful maiden launch of Chandrayaan-I to the moon.

Praising Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and scientists of ISRO for the magnificent achievement, Mr Agarwal said it was a mammoth job that one could not even imagine the enormity of the launch vehicle soaring successfully into orbit.

''This magnificent scientific feat has put India among the exclusive space club, comprising the US, Russia, China, Japan and the European countries,''Mr Agarwal said.

He said the successful launch of Chandrayaan-I into the orbit of Moon was a historic feat which has taken the stock of India's image and the reputation of its scientists sky-rocketing.
