BJP members sit-in protest on Rajasthan NREGS issue
New Delhi, Oct 22 (UNI) BJP Lok Sabha members from Rajasthan today staged a sit-in demonstration at the Mahatma Gandhi statue in the Parliament House complex to lodge their protest against the Centre's failure to fulfil its obligations under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS).
Leader of the delegation Srichand Kripalani told newspersons that the State Government was yet to receive funds amounting to more than Rs 75 crores from centre under various heads of the scheme. This was despite Rajasthan being one of the pioneering states in the implementation of the NREGS, he added.
