Two tourists die in road accident in Orissa

Cuttack, Oct21 (UNI) Two tourists were killed and more than 20 injured when a bus in which they were travelling collided with a loaded stationary truck on NH 5 near Baichua under Tangi Police station today.

Police identified the deceased as Ananta Maiti and his wife.

The injured were admitted to the SCB Medical College and in some nearby private nursing homes.

Police said the bus carrying 65 tourists, including 26 women, was on its way to Puri from Kolkata when the accident occurred.

The bus driver absconded soon after incident.

Efforts were on to nab him, police said.
