Trai extends date for comments on paper on media ownerhsip

New Delhi, Oct 21 (UNI) The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) today extended the last date for submission of comments on the Consultation Paper on Media Ownership to November 10.

The consultation paper was released on September 23 and written comments of the stakeholders were invited by October 24.

However, the Telecom Regulator received requests from some stakeholders for extension of time for sending comments.

Keeping in view the importance of the issue and the need for wider participation of stakeholders in the consultation process, it has decided to extend the last date for sending comments on the same to November 10,'' TRAI said.
