Six barrels of chemicals worth Rs 30 lakhs seized, four arrested

Bidar, Karnataka, Oct 21 (UNI) Police today seized illegally stored Chemicals worth Rs 30 lakhs in a raid on a Dhaba Hotel in Vaddanakere village on National Highway 9 in Humnabad Taluk in the District and arrested four persons in this connection.

Police said that the chemicals were stored illegally in six barrels. Two oil tankers, trucks, a car and a zeep were also seized during the raid.

However, the main accused Baba escaped during the raid.

Several drug manufacturing companies in Hyderabad and Pune had earlier complained to the police that the chemicals were being stolen while being transported to their units.
