Silver, gold open low on bearish global advices
Mumbai, Oct 21: Precious metals on Tuesday, Oct 21 opened lower, with silver easing by Rs 60 per kg and gold by Rs 80 per ten gm, from their previous close on thin buying demand by ornament makers coupled with bearish global advices, traders in the Bombay Bullion Association said.
Silver was quoted at Rs 18,005 per kg, while gold at Rs 12,655 per ten gm.
Traders received negative reports from Asian markets as gold and silver traded low at USD 785/788 an ounce and USD 9.80/9.85 per troy ounce from their last levels.
Following were the opening domestic spot rates: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade: Rs 18,005 Gold (per 10 gm): 99.5 purity standard mint: Rs 12,655 99.9 purity pure gold: Rs 12,710.
