Shiv Sena will never attack people who are sleeping: Uddhav
Mumbai, Oct 21 (UNI) In wake of reports that Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) activists had allegedly beaten up students who were sleeping on Railway platforms during their agitation against North Indian Railway Recruitment Board Examination candidates on October 19, Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray said his party had never attacked people who were sleeping.
Mr Thackeray made the statement yesterday, during the launch function of a television channel of Star group at Karjat, an extended suburb of Mumbai.
Referring to his estranged cousin and MNS chief Raj Thackeray, Mr Thackeray said new people are coming and taking up the issues for which Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray has been fighting since 1966.
''Shiv Sena and Marathi Manoos are inseperable'', he remarked.
