SAIL Q2 net up 18.2% at Rs 2,009.60 cr
New Delhi, Oct 21 (UNI) State-run Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) today said it has reported a net profit of Rs 2,009.60 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, recording an 18.2 per cent growth over the corresponding period last year.
The company's turnover stood at Rs 13,544.24 crore in Q2FY09, showing 30.6 per cent growth over year ago period, it said in a statement.
Also, the steel major achieved the highest-ever net profit of Rs 3,844.8 crore in the first half of the current fiscal, which is a growth of 19.2 per cent over the same period last year, the statement said.
