Police lathicharge on MNS activists
Mumbai, Oct 21 (UNI) Police lathicharged on Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) activists in front of the Bandra court here as they attempted to enter the court premises, where the arrested leader Raj Thackeray was to be produced for remand.
Police arrested 25 MNS activists, including some women, when they attempted to break the police cordon and move into the court premises.
The mob attempted to enter the court from all the four sides even as the premises resembled a fortified place with heavy security arrangements, including men of Rapid Action Force and armed police, manning the gates. Even newspersons were barred from entering the court.
The mob also attacked some autorickshaws, police said.
