Pakistan film-maker Satish Anand kidnapped
Karachi, Oct 21: Satish Anand, noted Pakistani film-maker was kidnapped by two unidentified men from Karachi. Media reports suggest that his driver was left conscious after one of the two men administered injection on his hand.
Satish Anand is a prominent film-maker, film distributor and well-known figure in the television, newspapers and advertisement world in Pakistan. According to The News, the two men kidnapped Satish when he was going home in his car with his driver. Narrating the incident, the driver said when the car reached near the Hockey Stadium two men came to them. He said one of the two men gave an injection on his hand after which he became unconscious. Later, when he gained senses he was in the car but Anand was missing.
A report of kidnapping has been lodged with the Frere Police Station.
Police sources said the incident cannot be termed 'kidnapping for ransom', as none has demanded any ransom so far. The police have started investigations.
