MP Cong demands action against minister's son

Sagar, MP, Oct 21 (UNI) Congress workers staged an agitation in this district's Rahali area in order to press for their demand of registering a criminal case against Madhya Pradesh Agriculture Minister Gopal Bhagav's son Abhishek alias Deepu for allegedly assaulting a man.

Heavy security arrangements were made in wake of the agitation yesterday.

The party leaders alleged that Abhishek and his accomplices roughed up Bhagwan Singh Lodhi few days back.

Demanding action against the accused, the Congress leaders Jeewan Patel, Manorath Garg and former Block member Malti Ahirwar threatened of self-immolation..

''The three leaders and 12 party workers were arrested in this regard,'' Sub Divisional Magistrate said.

Police force was still deployed there and normalcy has been restored in the area.
