Mariah Carey had second thoughts before marrying Nick Cannon
Washington, Oct 21 : Mariah Carey has revealed that she had second thoughts before marrying singer Nick Cannon.
The 38-year-old pop star wed Cannon in the Bahamas in April (08) after a six-week whirlwind romance.
When asked what the reason behind the second thoughts, she said - their 10-year age gap.
However, the 'Touch My Body' said that she's convinced their love will be lasting, because her marriage to music mogul Tommy Mottola - 20 years her senior - was a "disaster".
"You know what, I did. But he doesn't act like it (younger) - he's really very intelligent," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying. "He's a very business-minded person, but he's also a lot of fun so you don't really think about those things. It is what it is.
"I've been with someone older and that could be a disaster or maybe you have to throw that side away and don't think about it - think about who's right for you," she added.
Carey and Mottola split in 1998 after five years of marriage.
