Mangalore: 'Group fires two rounds at office floor'

Mangaluru, Oct 21: A group of people, numbering three or four and carrying a revolver – allegedly fired two rounds at the floor of an office near New Mangalore Port here on Monday, Oct 20.

The employees of Worldwide Shipping Inc on the Mangalore-Udupi Highway said that the incident occurred around 5 p.m. They said that the group had left behind a phone number.However, proprietor of the company A. Mohideen said that he was not aware of any phone number. Superintendent of Police N. Sateesh Kumar said that the group had asked for the owner. The vehicle, abandoned by the group, has been seized, he said.
