Lok Satta demands action against MNS chief Raj Thackeray
Hyderabad, Oct 21 (UNI) The Lok Satta today demanded stringent action against Maharashtra Navnirman Sena leader Raj Thackeray for posing a threat to the unity and integrity of the country.
In a statement, party spokesman B Krishna Reddy charged MNS workers indulged in unlawful and unconstitutional acts in disrupting Railway Recruitment Board examinations and attacking non-locals in Mumbai.
Pointing out that the Constitution guaranteed every Indian the right to live and work anywhere in the country, he said, ''the MNS is whipping up regional chauvinism and taking law into its own hands by indulging in physical violence against innocent civilians.'' Strongly condemning the tendency among political parties to tear the nation in the name of region, religion, caste and language, he charge that such parties violating the Constitution were unfit to be in politics and should be banned from contesting elections.
