Hizb-ul-Mujaheedin militant arrested in Jammu

Jammu, Oct 21: A militant of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) was arrested by the police from city outskirts while one Chinese pistol and ammunition were recovered from his possession, sources here said.

''Based on specific information, police party of Special Operation Group (SOG) raided a house in Barnai area last evening on city outskirts and apprehended one militant of HM outfit along with one magazine, some rounds and a Chinese pistol,'' sources told the sources.

The militant has been identified as Saleem Ahmed, resident of Hanjura, Anantnag.

However, three more suspects were also detained by the police from Sunjwan area and put under sustained questioning.
