Heavy rains likely in south coastal AP, Tamil Nadu
Pune, Oct 21 (UNI) Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Rayalseema, south interior Karnataka, few places in north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, coastal and north interior Karnataka, Andaman, Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, south Konkan, Goa and south Madhya Maharashtra.
Mainly dry weather is likely to prevail in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, north Konkan, north Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada.
The Northeast Monsoon was active in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Heavy to very heavy rains have occurred at most places in Kerala.

Day temperature was appreciably to markedly above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Saurashtra, Kutch, Konkan, Goa, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka, some parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Chattisgarh and above normal in Orissa, Jharkhand, Madhya Maharashtra , some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Telangana and Rayalaseema. It was appreciably to markedly below normal in south coastal Andhra Pradesh and some parts of Punjab and Tamil Nadu and normal in rest of the country.
Night temperature was appreciably to markedly below normal in north Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, some parts of Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, north Chattisgarh and below normal in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Haryana.
It was appreciably above normal in some parts of Rajasthan and above normal in some parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal and south interior Karnataka and remaining parts of Rajasthan and Gujarat state. It was normal in rest of the country.
Mainly dry weather prevailed in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Telangana, coastal and north interior Karnataka.
