HC seeks govt reply on action taken against tainted ministers

Ranchi, oct 21 (UNI) Jharkhand High Court today directed the state government to reply by November 25 as to what action it was taking against those ministers accused of possessing properties disproportionate to their known sources of income.

The ministers under cloud included--Enos Ekka, Hari Narayan Rai, Kamlesh Singh, Bandhu Tirkey and Bhanu Pratap Shahi.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Gyan Sudha Mishra and Justice D K Sinha passed the order while hearing a Public Interest Litigation filed by one Durga Oroan.

The petitioner alleged that the ministers made assets more than their income.

The petitioner further alleged that the ministers never had such assets and property before becoming minister.
