Guj PG-CET Committee submits report to government
Gandhinagar, Oct 21 (UNI) The PG-CET Committee, formed by Gujarat government to study the issue of introduction of Common Entrance Test (CET) for postgraduate medical courses in the state, today submitted its report to Health Minister Jay Narayan Vyas.
Chairman of the Committee Dr Kanubhai Kalsaria said Mr Vyas and Minister of State (Health) Parbatbhai Patel received the report on behalf of the government and assured that its details would be studied and appropriate steps taken.
The ministers said the report would help the government in arriving at appropriate decision on various issues.
The report split in two volumes running into around 400 pages has dealt with various issues, including All India Quota both at MBBS Entrance as well as PG Entrance Level, the present system of admissions followed by different institutions and similar practices followed by institution in the other states, he said.
