Eva Green laughs off 'snubbing date with Nicolas Sarkozy' claims

London, Oct 21 : Eva Green has laughed off reports suggesting that she once refused to go on a date with French president Nicolas Sarkozy.

The actress insisted that she's never met the politician.

The Casino Royale beauty, a French native, was alleged to have been propositioned by Sarkozy before he wed model/singer/actress Carla Bruni earlier this year (08).

However, the stunner has rubbished the claims, admitting she admires Bruni - although she's not a fan of her new mature wardrobe.

"I have never met the man. The whole thing is ridiculous, though funny," the Daily Express quoted her, as saying.

She added: "People like to criticize Sarkozy and put him down by saying he approached many actresses before marrying Carla.

"I wish Carla well and it's good that the first lady is cool. But she used to wear jeans the whole time - and now she has to wear these granny outfits!"
