Death of 8-year-old boy evokes protests in south Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 21 (UNI) A 8-year-old boy was knocked to death by a vehicle at Bijbehara, leading to massive protests by locals, official sources said today.

They said a vehicle hit and killed Umar Bashir at Bijbehara in Anantnag district of south Kashmir.

Later, hundreds of people took to streets in protest against the incident.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested, they said adding situation was now under control.
