Central forces at Chhattisgarh polling stations

Raipur, Oct 21 (UNI) The Election Commission of India has decided that central security forces' personnel earmarked for Chhattisgarh would be deployed at the state's polling stations.

Confirming this here today, state Joint Electoral Officer Gaurav Dwivedi said, ''as the hustings are in two phases, it is hoped that adequate number of personnel will be available to cover every polling station.'' The guidelines would be relaxed and state police deployed at polling stations only if adequate central forces are unavailable.
