CEC to tour MP, Chhattisgarh
Bhopal, Oct 21 (UNI) A four-member Election Commission of India team led by Chief Election Commissioner N Gopalaswamy would hold two meetings here on October 23 and talk to administrative and police officers connected with the election process and political parties' representatives.
All these programmes would be held in the Narmada Valley Development Authority headquarters Narmada Bhavan, an official release said today.
The team -- including election commissioners Naveen B Chawla, S Y Qureshi and Deputy Election Commissioner R Balakrishnan -- would reach here tomorrow evening by air from New Delhi. At 0930 hrs on October 23, the team would hold talks with political parties' representatives and at 1130 hrs the team would discuss poll preparations with top government officers. The latter meeting would be attended by all divisional commissioners, inspectors-general of police, collectors and police superintendents.
The team would leave for Raipur by plane on October 24 morning, the release added.
