BSNL pays Rs 1,200 cr final dividend to govt
New Delhi, Oct 21 (UNI) State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) paid a final dividend of Rs 1,200 crore to the government here today.
BSNL CMD Kuldeep Goyal presented the cheque to Communications and IT Minister A Raja here.
The final dividend of Rs 1,200 crore comprises of Rs 525 crore as dividend on equity capital and Rs 675 crore as dividend on preferential capital for the financial year 2007-08.
This is in addition to an interim dividend of Rs 300 crore already paid to the government, thus making the total contribution of Rs 1,500 crore on account of dividend.
