B'lore: Wipro employee kidnapped and released

Bangalore, Oct 21: The Tilaknagar Police have arrested three cab drivers who had kidnapped a Software Employee of Wipro and demanded ransom. In another incident, miscreants have kidnapped a married woman in Shivajinagar area on Monday, Oct 20 night. Vijayalakshmi, a software employee in Wipro was returning from work on Monday, Oct 20 night when a cab driver of Wipro and two of his friends kidnapped her and locked her up in a house in Bommanahalli. "Your daughter has been kidnapped by some miscreants. They had kidnapped me also but I managed to get out of the house. The kidnappers have demanded a ransom of 1.5 crores," said the cab driver to Vijayalakshmi's parents after locking her up in the house. Her parents rushed to Tilaknagar police station to lodge a complaint after they heard about the kidnap.

The Police suspected the cab driver and took him into custody and interrogated him. After which, the cab driver revealed that he and three of his friends kidnapped her for financial gain. The miscreants have been arrested and Vijayalakshmi has been sent home safely.
