Award for HMRI for best e-content

Hyderabad, Oct 21 (UNI) Health Management and Research Institute (HMRI)here has been awarded the prestigious ''The Manthan South Asia 2008 Award'' for best e-content for development under 104 health services in Andhra Pradesh.

HMRI CEO Balaji Utla and HMRI Advisor A P Ranga Rao today met Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy at the Secretariat and informed him about the award, an official release said.

The project initially a Public Private Partnership(PPP) initiative, was started as a Health Information Help Line, with a toll free number. Now it has been extended to provide various health services, as Health Management and Research Institute in four districts of Andhra Pradesh and has been scaled up to cater to eight crore people in the state.
