ABVP leader Dilip Rai shot dead in Damoh, MP

Damoh, MP, Oct 21: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad's District Convenor Dilip Rai was shot dead at this district town last night, police said. The assailants pumped bullets when Mr Rai along with his sister Kavita Rai, who is also district BJP Mahila Morcha president, was returning home on a motorbike, near Jwalamai crossing added the police.

Mr Rai died on the spot.

Police said Sanjay Sen along with four or five accomplices opened fire on the ABVP leader and fled from the spot.

A search was on to nab the culprits, police said, adding the motive of the crime was not known.
