Shootout at shipping agent's office, none hurt
Mangalore, Oct 20 (UNI) Two suspected criminals, said to be underworld operatives, shot at a office belonging to a shipping agent at Kuloor in the city today, but no body was hurt in the incident.
According to IGP (Western Range) A M Prasad the shop belonged to Worldwide Shipping run by one Moideen who carried out trading in shipping. the duo came in a car shot a few rounds at the small office and fled.
"The car was found abandoned a little distance away from the shop. It had a fake number plate on it," he said.
The official said intensive search had begun to nab the culprits.
Police suspect some criminal motive behind the shooting.
However the shipping agent had not lodged any complaint with the police. Police suspect this to be a case of extortion and the duo members of a underworld gang, police suspect.
