Salem: Onam celebrations with a difference
Salem, Oct 20: Salem Kerala Samajam on Sunday, Oct 19 conducted competitions and cultural programmes for Onam celebrations.
Confederation of Tamil Nadu Malayalee Associations vice-president Shyamala Jayaprakash inaugurated the celebrations in the presence of general secretary Soman Mathew. Competitions including carrom, chess, drawing and musical chair were organised for children aged below 15 years. Cultural programmes including Chenda and Panchavadiyam and traditional dances also formed part of the celebrations.
