K'taka: Few places get rainfall

Bangalore, Oct 20: Following is the summary of observations recorded in weather office at 0830 hrs on Monday, Oct 20. Rainfall occurred at a few places over the State.

Heavy rainfall amounts : Puttur 9 Gundlupet 7.

Other Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Sulya, Bandipura 5 each, Bhagamandala 4, Belthangadi, Tavaregere, Maski Virajpet 3 each, Mangalore, Subramanya, Karkala, Talikote, Kakkeri, Madikeri, Somwarpet, Periyapatna, MM Hills, Srirangapatna, Gowribidanur, Channapatna 2 each, Mani, Dharmasthala, Kushtagi, Raichur, Madapura, Sakleshpura, Dudda, HD Kote, Mulbagal each.

Maximum temperatures changed little over the state. They were appreciably above normal at most places being markedly so at few places over Coastal Karnataka, above normal at few places over South Interior Karnataka and normal over North Interior Karnataka.

Karwar recorded highest maximum temperature of 36.0 deg. Cel. over the State.

Minimum temperatures changed little over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and rose at few places over North Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at few places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over Interior Karnataka. Bagalkote recorded lowest temperature of 17.6 minimum Degree Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Wednesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.
