Priya Dutt slams Vilasrao govt

Indore, Oct 20 (UNI) Mumbai North-West MP Priya Dutt today alleged that Maharashtra's Vilasrao Deshmukh regime was standing mute spectator even as television channels were beaming visuals of the Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena workers publicly assaulting non-Marathi persons.

''Such inaction places the government in the dock as it has the responsibility of safeguarding every citizen in that state. The regime should forthwith put a stop to such incidents,'' the Congress leader said during a chat with mediapersons while on a personal visit to Madhya Pradesh's commercial capital.
