Nominations for Chattisgarh assembly polls begins today

Raigarh, Oct 20 : The filing of nominations for the first phase of Chattisgarh assembly polls on November 14 began today in the state, for elections to 39 seats out of a total of 90.

The last date for filing nominations is October 27.

Election officials in the state said that the date of scrutiny is October 29 and last date for withdrawal of candidature is October 31.

Polling for the remaining 51 seats will be held on November 20, said Alok Shukla, Chief Election Officer of the state.
