N M Borah appointed as new CMD of Oil India
New Delhi, Oct 20 (UNI) Oil India Ltd (OIL) Director (operations) N M Borah has been appointed as its Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) for a period of five years.
''The appointment of Mr Borah, will be effective from the date of assumption of charge of the post on or after December 1, 2008 or till the date of his superannuation or until further orders, whichever occurs the earliest,'' an official statement said here today.
OIL, a large natural gas and petroleum company in the country, is engaged in the business of exploration, development and production of crude oil and natural gas, transportation of crude oil and production of liquid petroleum gas.
