Mumbai, Oct 20: Putting anxieties to rest, engineering and construction firm Larsen&Toubro Limited (L&T) on Monday, Oct 20 announced to continue with its operations at Mysore-based Medical Equipment&Systems (MED) business unit.

In a statement issued here, Company president (Operations) and board member R N Mukhija said, ''In view of the overwhelming demand from the customers, the L&T management has decided to retain the Unit'' The decision takes into account the interests of all stakeholders, customers, distributors, he added.

It may be recalled that L&T had sought shareholders approval for transfer of the MED business to a subsidiary or sell it in June.
