Bhind, MP, Oct 20 (UNI) A youth who passed the civil judges' examination in neighbouring Chhattisgarh has received an alleged naxal letter from Bilaspur warning him against assuming the post, police said.

Mr Krishnapal Singh, who hails from this district and works as a third class employee at the District and Sessions Court here, dispatched copies of the missive to the directors-general of police of both states -- besides other officers -- and demanded a probe besides seeking protection. Mr Singh secured 24th place in the exam and was selected on September 8.

The ultras' letter, which reached him on October 5, also contained the words, ''hum Chhattisgarh ke bahar ke logon ko naukri nahi karne denge (we will not let people from outside Chhattisgarh be employed here).'' City Superintendent of Police Dharmendra Chavai said that the matter was being investigated and could be a prank.
