Jamna Auto's Uttarakhand facility begins operations
New Delhi, Oct 20 (UNI) Jamna Auto Industries Ltd today said its suspension spring manufacturing facility, set up with Rs three crore investment at Pant Nagar in Uttarakhand, has commenced operations to cater to the requirements of Tata Motors.
''The new plant, having a 24,000 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) capacity, will assemble leaf and parabolic springs and cater to the requirements of Tata Motors for its mini truck model Ace,'' the company said in a statement.
Jamna Auto, one of the world's top seven commercial vehicle leaf and parabolic spring suppliers, is also setting up a 60,000 mtpa greenfield plant at Jamshedpur to cater to Tata Motors.
The company's clientele list also includes Ashok Leyland, Eicher Motors, Volvo, Swaraj Mazda, Ford India, General Motors, Suzuki and Toyota.
