Idea Cellular Q2 net dips 31.75 pc at Rs 150.39 cr

New Delhi, Oct 20: Telecom services provider Idea Cellular Ltd on Monday, Oct 20 said its net profit declined 31.75 per cent to Rs 150.39 crore for the second quarter ended September 30 as compared to Rs 220.38 crore for the same quarter previous fiscal.

However, the company's total income increased 47.06 per cent to Rs 2,300.60 crore for July-September 2008 from Rs 1,564.35 crore in July-September 2007, it said in a statement. The Group has posted a net profit of Rs 144.07 crore in Q2FY09 as compared to Rs 220.33 crore during Q2FY08, registering a fall of 34.61 per cent.

The Group's total income surged 47.25 per cent to Rs 2,303.65 crore for the second quarter ended September 30 from Rs 1,564.35 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
