Guidelines for corporate sectors on reconstructions soon: Nitish
Patna, Oct 20 (UNI) Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said the Bihar government would soon announce guidelines for the corporate sectors on their roles in identified areas of reconstruction and rehabilitation in flood-hit areas in the Kosi region.
Mr Kumar told media persons here that several top corporate houses of the country had expressed there desire to cooperate with the state government in reconstruction and rehabilitation in the flood-hit areas of north Bihar.
''Corporate sectors are free to offer their support in any sector of reconstruction and rehabilitation but the state government would like them to rebuild internal roads, drainages and relief shelters in villages,'' he said adding that school and hospital buildings would be reconstructed by the state government.
Mr Kumar said altogether 980 villages were affected by the devastating floods in north Bihar and the willing corporate houses should submit the list of internal roads, drainages and other damaged constructions of the villages to district administration concerned to avoid duplication of the works.
Families getting relief from the corporate houses would not be entitled to get assistance from the state government, he clarified.
