Funds utilised for flood victims lacks transparency; Congress
Patna, Oct 20 (UNI) Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) today blamed the NDA government for not maintaining transparency in utilising the funds released by the Centre and other organisations for flood victims.
BPCC president Anil Sharma said here that the state government sought the funds without assessing the actual dimension of the damages caused by the catastrophic floods.
The Centre, however, released more funds than what was sought by the Nitish Kumar government, he added.
'' The state government was unfortunately not utilising the fund properly and the Nitish Kumar government should convene an all party meeting to evolve transparency,'' he added.
He alleged that the mega relief camps run by the state government were in a deplorable condition.
