Fake currency seized, 2 held
Lucknow, Oct 20 (UNI) Police today claimed to have seized over Rs 53,000 fake currency with the arrest of two persons in Sultanpur district.
Reports reaching here from Director General of Police (DGP) office said on getting information about the syndicate, the cops raided the house of Ashok Kumar and Sorhat Singh in Jagdeeshpur area late last night.
Counterfiet currency notes of Rs 53,600 were recovered from the spot.
The seizure comprises Rs 500 and Rs 100 denomination notes and equipments used in printing fake currency.
The arrested have been sent to jail and a man-hunt for the absconding accused launched.
