Defaulter farmers can't get VDS benefit: DHBVN
Chandigarh, Oct 20 (UNI) The Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has clarified that the benefit of the voluntary disclosure scheme (VDS) for unauthorised extension of load on tubewells would not be given to those farmers who are defaulters.
''Only those tubewell consumers can get unauthorised load regularised who are not defaulter or who pay off their defaulting amount. The scheme will remain operative up to December,'' a DHBVN spokesman said here today.
Under the VDS, the farmers who had raised the capacity of their motors with out permission could declare the same voluntarily in the office of concerned Assistant General Manager/Operation by submitting an "Application and Agreement" form.
''Their load shall be regularised without charging any penalty.
However, the consumers will have to deposit advance consumption security and submit a test report for the extended load,'' he said.
The unauthorized extension in load shall be regularized with existing system, he added.
