Daiichi Sankyo buys 52.5% of Ranbaxy
New Delhi, Oct 20 (UNI) Japan's Daiichi Sankyo Company Ltd today said it has acquired 52.5 per cent equity share capital of the Ranbaxy Laboratories comprising 22,06,90,423 shares.
The Japan's second largest pharmaceutical firm has bought shares from Ranbaxy's founders and through an open offer from other shareholders.
Daiichi Sankyo also subscribed to shares and warrants worth 736 million dollars, the statement said.
