CPI(ML) protests against MNS attack on Bihari students
Patna, Oct 20 (UNI) CPI(ML) today took out protest march against the violent attack on students from Bihar in Maharashtra when they had gone their to appear in Railway Recruitment Board's Examination on Saturday.
The protest march of the CPI(ML) passed through the main through fares of the state capital and culminated at Dakbunglow crossing where the party workers burnt the effigy of Shiv Sena Chief Bal Thackeray and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena president Raj Thackeray.
Addressing the workers, senior leaders of the party expressed their anguish over the thrashing of Bihari students in Mumbai on the instigation of Bal Thackeray and Raj Thackeray.
''It is distressing to note that despite widespread criticism over the incident, Maharashtra government failed to take stern action against the elements responsible for such incidents,'' they said adding even the Central government failed to discharge its constitutional obligation in protecting the fundamental rights of the citizens.
