BJP activists stage sit-in, taken into custody

Hyderabad, Oct 20 (UNI) Activists of the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP), including its State President Bandaru Dattatreya, were taken into custody for staging a sit-in in front of Director General of Police office here today, protesting against the alleged arrest of innocent people in connection with the communal clashes in Bhainsa in Adilabad district.

Police said about 150 BJP activists were taken into custody for staging dharna and disrupting vehicular traffic.

The BJP leaders alleged that the police had arrested innocent BJP and Sangh Parivar workers in connection with the communal clashes in Bhainsa and were harrassing them.
