Big TV DTH plans to launch 400 channels
{image-Big TV1_20102008.jpg news.oneindia.in}Mumbai, Oct 20: Big TV, wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Communication, which has crossed the five lakh customer milestone, on Monday, Oct 20 announced the launch of four hundred channels by the end of next year.
Addressing mediapersons here, President of Reliance Communication Arun K Kapoor said ''Crossing the five lakh customers milestone within two months of its launch, equivalent to 40 percent of the industry's gross addition, is indeed a testimony to the superior value proposition, offered by BIG TV and its success in accelerating the growth momentum of DTH sector in the country.'' He said that the company also has a plan to add over 4,00,000 subcribers every month with an on-ground infrastructure spanning 6500 indian towns to become one of the leading DTH player''.
Kapoor said the company also planned to launch a Cricket interaction and news interaction channel from December this year.
