Tech Acme 2008 inaugurated
Bhopal, Oct 19 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Finance Minister Raghavji today inaugurated a three-day technical festival 'Tech Acme 2008' at a private engineering college here.
Addressing the gathering at the Oriental Institute of Science and Technology (OIST), the Finance Minister praised achievements of OIST students at national level and encouraged them to keep up the good work in cultural field as well.
OIST Director A N Sihna stressed on the importance of technical education with practical knowledge.
''Tech Acme 08 will provide a platform to students to complete and showcase their talent'', Dr Sinha added.
Oriental Group Chairman K L Thakral said the Oriental Group of Institutions (OGI) was aiming to spread its wings overseas also.
He hoped that the event would certainly improve technical and cultural proficiencies of students.
More than 4,000 students from engineering and technical institutions from all over the country would participate in various educational, technical and cultural contests.
